These QR-codes are actually scanable:

Read some frequently asked questions and their respective answers:

"What are these 'qr-codes' for?"

A QR code (abbreviated from Quick Response Code) is a two-dimensional barcode, a machine-readable optical label that contains information about the item to which it is attached.
The QR Code system became popular outside the automotive industry due to its fast readability and greater storage capacity compared to other barcodes standards. Applications include product tracking, item identification, time tracking, document management, and general marketing.
A QR code consists of black modules (square dots) arranged in a square grid on a white background, which can be read by an imaging device (such as a camera, scanner, etc.) and processed using Reed-Solomon error correction until the image can be appropriately interpreted. The required data are then extracted from patterns that are present in both horizontal and vertical components of the image.

"In what do the QR Codes on your website differ from the conventional QR-Code?"

The QR-Codes which you can click on my website are multicolored and animated, but still you can scan them i.e. with your smartphone. It is possible to encode all sorts of information and videoclips (movements) into these codes. They can be deployed in POS systems with digital screens or can be printed like all other codes, but then without the animation feature.

"Colored QR-Codes are nothing special, are they?"

Regular colorized QR-Codes are nothing special and very common in marketing.
But these multicolored (sRGB) and animated QR-Codes on the other hand are not merely colored, they are actually containing genuine visual information of photographic quality in the codes itself and again are animated aswell to loop forever.

kind of nerdy - i know.
